|
|
Hi, I was in Vancouver last summer and was talking to someone and I stated that one of the things I missed most since my diagnosis of Lung Cancer was smoking my dope. They introduced me to the HV. I love it.
However resently I went to clean out my stem and noticed a lot of goopy tar had accumelated at the filter. I then heard a report saying that they now think that smoking dope is higher risk for lung and other cancers than they thought. I realize that this is not smoking but I think I should find out the risk factors involved with this method before I persue my HV adventures more. I have turned 2 others on to your product (they're both healthy) and they LOVE IT!!
Thanks for any responses to this matter. |

This can't be simply answered - what is 'safe' - ???? & Cancer is a wide ranging condition not fully understood by the profession
Carcinogens in many herbs are the result of combusion therefore assuming the herb in question doesn't contain a carcinogen as a principle vapoursing looks to be very good from this perpective
However for vaporization to work something needs to be vapourised - all sorts of chemicals oils resins gases and particulates are likely the main constituents of 'vapour'
These quite likely could affect health - I could argue thearetical positives as well but there are too many factors - No one can advise you here - a scientist would be hard pushed to answer 'is orange juice 'safe'?' and as James Lovelock points out Oxygen is the main carcinogen we are all inhaling... |

| Its safer than to say burning the herbs and inhaling it. The goopy stuff you dig out of your stem is just bits and pieces of the herbs that break off from the bud you put in there...mind you you are inhaling the water vapor from the herbs, and when water and bits of bud get all mixed up, they get sticky and goopy. |

I am always excited to know and understand your opinions on a certain aspect of cancer having been through the pain and sadness of the same. How many survivors or others feel we actually invite cancer into our lives with our life styles, rejections and the scare of visiting the doctor to be told that one may have cancer? I am looking for more discussion on cancer from this forum. Let me know your opinion. Thank s a lot.
