|

I loved my HappyVappy, but now it's become clogged up and doesn't work as well anymore.
The problem seems to be the holes in the herb chamber being gunked up, or the air passage itself being clogged up, I don't know. Either way, not much air is getting through.
Have tried picking at them with a pin, etc. Is it possible to take the HV apart and clean it that way? |

Many things came to mind when I read the question you posted a while back. Not knowing the state of your HappyVappy I found it a little tough to know where to start. To begin there are no parts in the HappyVappy that can be taken apart by the user. Only the latest Stem (mouth pieces) can be disassembled for cleaning. Not knowing the age of your HappyVap or how much you use it. My first question is whether the air flow is restricted. Did cleaning the fins as you described in your post help to improve the air flow? I use a dental tool when locals bring theirs Vappys in for service. The build up can be like plaque on teeth and takes a bit to scrape off if it builds up too much. Take care when cleaning around the fins by being sure to not apply too much pressure or force as you can damage or break them.
Generally it is best to keep your HV clean from the beginning. Here are a few tips to keep the air flowing:
1. Use the Vappy Packer between loads to clean the fines.
2. Leave your HappyVappy running a little longer than your session.
3. Don't put pasty substances that may gum up the fins.
4. Check to see that your Stem and screen are clear of debris.
Feel free to call us with your HappyVappy questions. You can reach us at 1-888-ohVappy or email us with your specific use and maintenance questions. If you wish to post questions regarding maintenance please include how long you have owned your unit and if you are a casual, moderate, or heavy user.
Stay Well,

| Rubbing Alcohol does it perfectly for me, along with some Q-tips or a pipe cleaner. Rinse thoroughly when done. |

Try leaving the HV on for a while and then use the nail provided or similar to scrape away the residue.
I have noticed that if you remove the used herb straight after use and not leave it in the HV it is easier and cleaner for the next time. |

I would first like to say that the HV is the best vaporizer on the market. I've been to cafes where I could try a number of different vaporizers. Sadly, they did not have the HV but they did have a number of other vaps. I tried a few but none were as good as my HV.
With that said, cleaning remains an issue that must be dealt with by the manufacturer in some way.
Now on to the good stuff.
The following are a couple of tips that I have learned while using the HV.
1) Never get to forgetful and leave the HV on much longer than the session.
2) After you are done with a session, scrape out the vaporizables, leave the stem off, and leave the HV running for 5-8 minutes after you've finished. I know this is sometimes hard to remember.
3) NEVER grind your vaporizables!
4) If anything else, make sure to take the stem off after each use! This helps protect the vappy and the stem from an abundance of residue.
Happy Vaporizing Everyone! |

I'm new to Happy Vappy and was having a hard to cleaning it. Thank you for your post, I didn't know that I was supposed to leave it running after I was finished. I'm going to start doing that now and will hopefully have a cleaner piece. Will a steel wool pad ruin the finish?
